Our Core Values

We are committed to living out the values of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Love God, love others, and share the good news of Jesus Christ.

Humility

“Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus…” – Philippians 2:5

Jesus is our model of humility—though fully God, He chose to serve and sacrifice. At RCC, we define humility not as thinking less of ourselves, but thinking of ourselves less. It means admitting mistakes, being teachable, honoring others, and living without selfish ambition. True humility disarms pride, welcomes growth, and aligns us with God’s heart. The most powerful people in the room are often the most humble.

Honor

“Honor all people. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honor the king.” – 1 Peter 2:17

Honor is a Kingdom principle that activates God’s anointing. At RCC, we don’t honor people because they’re perfect—we honor because we’re people of honor. Whether celebrating someone in their presence or absence, we believe honor unites the body of Christ, opens hearts, and reflects Jesus. Even when misunderstood like Hannah or criticized like David, we choose honor over offense. As we do, we create space for God's grace and power to flow.

Hunger

“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.” – Matthew 5:6

Spiritual hunger is a sign of life. At RCC, we never want to grow complacent—we hunger for more of God’s presence, His Word, and spiritual growth. Hunger helps us prioritize time with God, dive deeper into Scripture, and stretch toward our calling. We cultivate holy dissatisfaction—not from lack, but from a desire to go deeper with Him. A hungry heart keeps us moving forward in faith.

Holiness

“Make every effort to live in peace with all men and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.” – Hebrews 12:14

Holiness is more than following rules—it’s a life rooted in love. At RCC, we believe holiness means being set apart for God, not just from sin. It's about cultivating inner beauty, living with clean hearts, and loving like Jesus. Holiness creates an atmosphere where God’s presence can dwell and others can encounter His love. As we pursue love, we naturally reflect the beauty of His holiness.

Hospitality

“Share with the Lord’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality.” – Romans 12:13

Hospitality is more than hosting—it’s loving the stranger. At RCC, we actively pursue a lifestyle of welcome, knowing that a warm meal or a simple smile can open hearts to the Kingdom. From our homes to the church lobby, we want others to feel seen, valued, and loved. We believe true hospitality reflects the heart of Jesus—who said, “Whatever you did for the least of these, you did for Me.”

Honesty

“Speak the truth in love…” – Ephesians 4:15

At RCC, honesty is about more than just telling the truth—it’s about living with integrity, authenticity, and transparency. We strive to be real with God, with others, and with ourselves. Whether in relationships, ministry, or personal growth, honesty builds trust and opens the door for transformation. We believe truth spoken in love brings healing, freedom, and lasting connection.

Our Beliefs

We invite you to explore our beliefs and join us in our pursuit of living out our faith in boldness and passion.

  • God

We believe in One God who eternally exists in three persons: The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three are co-equal and co-eternal, which is the Trinity.

    Genesis 1:1-3; Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 3:16-17; 28:19; Luke 1:35; John 1:1-3, 14; Colossians 2:9; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 Timothy 1:17

  • The Bible

We believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God. It alone is the final authority in determining how followers of Jesus should live their lives.

    Matthew 5:17-18; Psalm 119:9, 11; John 10:35; 17:17; Romans 16:25-26; 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Hebrews 4:12; 2 Peter 3:15-16

  • Salvation

We believe that all who believe the Gospel are born again by the Holy Spirit and become children of God and heirs of eternal life. Thus, eternal life is totally a work of grace, a gift of God and not a result of any good works or human efforts on our part.

    John 3:3, 5, 16; Romans 3:23-28; 5:1; 6:23; Galatians 2:16; 4:4-7; Ephesians 2:8-9; Titus 3:5

  • Baptism

We believe in the importance of baptism. Baptism symbolizes a believer's commitment to Jesus and His teachings, and is an outward act of confessing our faith in Him. We believe that baptism is essential to Christian discipleship, and it is a beautiful way to proclaim our allegiance to Jesus. Baptism is a sacred and meaningful experience, and we are deeply committed to helping believers celebrate this important milestone in their journey of faith. By celebrating and honoring baptism, we are proclaiming our faith in Jesus and our desire to serve Him and others.

  • The Church

We believe the Church is the Body of Christ that is made up of all Christ-Followers. Its mission is to glorify God and make Him known to the lost world. Every Christ-Follower is an integral part of the Church creating a spiritual unity of brothers and sisters. The initial evidence for joining the Church is water baptism and the continual evidence of unity with the church is the Lord’s Supper (communion).

    Matt. 26:26-29; Matt. 28:18-20; Acts 2:38; 8:12;

    1 Cor. 10:16; 11:23-25; 12:12-14; Eph. 1:22-23; 2:19-22

  • Humans

We believe humans were created in the image of God and placed in a sinless paradise to have fellowship with Him. But because of disobedience to God’s Word, sin entered the world and fellowship with God was broken and relationship between humans became strained. Humans through their own efforts cannot restore this brokenness.

    5:12-14; Eph. 2:1-3

  • The Christian Life

We believe in the ongoing process of spiritual growth of the Christian through the Holy Spirit and God’s Word. Each person is to grow in their knowledge of God’s Word and in developing and employing their spiritual gifts through the Church, so others may come to know Christ and the Church be built up into maturity.

    John 8:31-32; 14:16-17; 16:13; 17:17; Romans 12:4-8; 1 Corinthians 12-14; Galatians 5:22-23; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 5:11-14

  • Jesus

We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. He is the central figure of Christianity, the Word of God made flesh. Jesus was sent by God to be the ultimate sacrifice for our sins so that we could enjoy an eternal life with Him. Jesus’ teachings on love, forgiveness, humility, and repentance are at the core of our beliefs. We also believe in Jesus’ resurrection, that it was proof of His deity and the promise of eternal life for all those who believe. We are called to follow Jesus, to live lives of holiness, and to share the good news of the gospel. As we learn to love and serve others, we are reminded of Jesus’ example of love and sacrifice.

  • Holy Spirit

We believe in the Holy Spirit, who is the third person of the Trinity. The Holy Spirit is the unifying power between God and humanity, and is the source of our comfort, guidance, and strength. The Holy Spirit helps us to understand and appreciate the Bible, and helps us to live out its teachings in our lives. We believe that the Holy Spirit is with us always, faithfully guiding us in our walk with God. We also believe that the Holy Spirit gives us gifts such as wisdom, knowledge, understanding, healing, miracles, tongues, and prophecy so that we can be used to serve God and spread His love.

  • Prayer

Prayer is the vital lifeline that connects us to God, empowering us to live out His purpose and experience His presence. Grounded in Scripture, we affirm that prayer is a dynamic, personal, and communal act of worship, intercession, and communion with the triune God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

We believe prayer is essential for spiritual growth, as it aligns our hearts with God’s will (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18; Philippians 4:6-7). Through prayer, we seek God’s guidance, confess our sins, express gratitude, and intercede for others, trusting in His power to transform lives and circumstances.

As a Spirit-filled church, we emphasize the role of the Holy Spirit in prayer. We believe the Spirit empowers us to pray boldly, intercedes for us when words fail (Romans 8:26-27), and inspires us to pray in our natural language as well as in tongues, as a gift for spiritual strengthening and intimacy with God (1 Corinthians 14:14-15; Acts 2:4).

We hold that prayer is both personal and corporate. Individually, it fosters a deep relationship with God; collectively, it unites us as a body of believers, strengthening our faith and mission (Acts 4:31). We are committed to a lifestyle of prayer, believing it is the foundation for revival, healing, and the advancement of God’s Kingdom.

In all things, we approach prayer with faith, humility, and expectation, trusting that God hears and answers according to His perfect will (1 John 5:14-15). Prayer is not merely a ritual but a powerful expression of our dependence on God and our confidence in His limitless love and sovereignty.
